全球金屬中蘊藏量最豐富的「鋁」，是目前應用層面最廣的金屬，其輕金屬的特性，密度僅是銅的三分之一，且無磁性、高強度、高介磁、耐腐蝕與抗氧化的優點，對於EMI、RFI的電磁輻射阻絕效果極佳，中性中道的特質表現，用來作為電源蓋板再適合不過，這回新一代付注生產的電源壁座隔磁蓋板，我們特別選用了與「 iPhone 同級 」的鋁合金材。而iPhone同級的鋁合金材，與一般鋁材什麼樣的差別、裡頭包含了多少肉眼所無法看透的合金參數，一般消費者永遠無法理解；但對於一生追求最高性能與最佳質感的蘋果賈伯斯，肯定是已經參透了鋁合金特性的最佳比例，試驗出怎樣的比例材料，能最有效地抑振、隔離與散熱，與其剛性、韌性的甜蜜點，來徹底斷絕外在的EMI、RFI電磁干擾，讓手機能夠在最安定、安全的狀態下工作，反推回音響上對聲音會有多大的影響，箇中奧秘相信音響玩家一定知道，這也是我們為何堅持選擇成本高的材料，不肯妥協於一般鋁材。
目前我們第一代的鋁合金隔磁蓋板庫存極少、部分型號甚至已經缺貨已久。所以我們在2022年初，再次與合作材料商聯繫，要求提供不同成分的鋁合金樣板來做測試，為了生產端正音響用的電源蓋板，初期我們傷透了腦筋，因為材料商所提供的鋁合金樣本，幾乎都無法超越目前銷售的版本料材，唯獨一款來自日本受注生產的特殊鋁合金材，其音響表現特性，相當貼近我們目前所使用鋁材、甚至可以說是超越，而材料商也透露這款日本料，跟我們上一回所使用的是同一家、同系列的鋁合金材，同樣也是美商蘋果生產iPhone時所特別指定的鋁材，只不過兩代iPhone的差異，如同iPhone換代一樣令人驚艷，合金材料的精進升級同樣也是這種感覺，其精神與MA靜神一樣，沒有最好、只有更好。然而材料商也說：這款鋁合金材是受注生產，「想要」就必須要有一定的量，才能開啟生產，日商不會有現貨可供應。而為了堅持生產出最好的產品，我們只能以「噸」計量的大量採購，一張單動輒都是幾噸在計量，因此才會一口氣推出多款、多彩、多樣式的鋁合金隔磁蓋板。
這回，我們一口氣推出「new SN-112、SN-124、new SN-297」三種樣式，每種樣式下，又再細分陽極色彩與紋路表現，讓用家能有更多樣的選擇。這次我們將進口的鋁合金基材，直接交由台北的合作廠商軋型、與打磨出特殊紋路，最後再以陽極強化處理。我們延續過去熱銷的86、120型兩款國際常見的規格，滿足不同尺寸需求的用家，並追加了新款「SN-124」四孔隔磁蓋板，未來將會用在我們生產的新款產品上；而「SN-297」依舊將尺寸加長，避免壁插座的「耳朵 」露出來、還要特地去彎折或是裁切；而鋁合金面板的厚度，則同樣依循舊版，維持設定在4mm的厚度，安定穩固住「壁插座」，讓細微諧振到此為止，隔離EMI、RFI的電磁射頻干擾，讓全頻電能更無染、無阻地傳輸。我們更在生產期間，還將樣品分送給多位音響玩家、經銷商，請他們聽聽看，新版在音響條件上，是否有感覺到有更加提升，最後大家回饋的結果，全部都是正向的評價，沒有人說不好，最多人回饋的就是：「聲音變得更清、更醇」、「結像力更勝過上一代」、「更容易聽出細節裡的細膩度」，這些只是因為換了一片new SN-112 鋁合金隔磁蓋板。

Among all metals in the world, aluminum is the most abundant—and arguably the most versatile. With only one-third the density of copper, this lightweight, non-magnetic material offers impressive strength, high dielectric resistance, and excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance. Most importantly for audio applications, aluminum is remarkably effective at shielding against EMI and RFI interference. Thanks to its balanced physical and acoustic properties, it’s an ideal material for audiophile-grade power outlet covers.
For the new generation of our EMI-shielded wall plate series, we chose a top-tier aluminum alloy—the very same grade used by Apple in their iPhones. While the technical specs behind this alloy’s composition may be invisible to the naked eye, audiophiles will certainly hear the difference. Apple founder Steve Jobs was uncompromising in his pursuit of perfection, and the material science behind this aluminum alloy reflects that spirit: a carefully tuned blend that optimizes rigidity, damping, and thermal conductivity—all key traits in defeating unwanted interference. If this alloy makes an iPhone run cooler and more reliably, imagine what it can do for your audio system’s signal purity.
Due to the popularity of our first-generation aluminum alloy covers, stock has been nearly depleted—and some models have been unavailable for quite some time. In early 2022, we restarted R&D by working closely with our materials partners to source and test new alloys. Many samples failed to outperform our existing spec—until we discovered a new, Japan-exclusive aluminum alloy. This custom-blend material, from the same lineage as our original, is again used by Apple and is two generations ahead of what we previously employed. Much like the leap from one iPhone generation to the next, the performance upgrade was instantly noticeable.
But this high-performance alloy is available only on a made-to-order basis—and only in bulk. That meant investing in ton-scale quantities and launching an entire new lineup, which now includes three new models: New SN-112, SN-124, and SN-297. Each model comes in a range of anodized finishes and surface textures, giving you more aesthetic and performance options than ever before.
These aluminum panels are cut, milled, and textured in Taipei, then finished with anodized surface treatment for enhanced hardness and durability. They are available in two international standard sizes: 86 and 120 type. The all-new SN-124 features a four-socket configuration and will be used in future Monitor Acoustics products. Meanwhile, the SN-297 is extended in length to fully cover wall socket “ears,” eliminating the need for trimming or bending during installation.
Just like before, the panels are 4mm thick for maximum stability and mechanical damping. The result: greater isolation from EMI and RFI, tighter mechanical integration, and more uncolored, uninterrupted power delivery. During development, we sent samples to audiophile customers and dealers for real-world testing. The feedback was unanimously positive—listeners reported cleaner highs, richer tonal body, sharper imaging, and more nuance in musical detail.
