有了上回 CAT.8 Gold（MA-HD/橘）的市場成功經驗，同時也趁著「數位流」已趨於穩定，玩家們在「有線」與「無線」之間的抉擇拉扯，最終也都是趨向「有線」為最佳解方，因為「無線」裡太多不可抗力干擾，不論是有形的（牆、直線障礙物）、還是無形的（距離、電磁波），或是無線區網上的分配數太多，都是影響傳輸穩定品質的障礙，所以選擇優質的實體網路線，才是好聲的最佳解決方案。而 MA-CAT.8 Gray 與 MA-CAT.8 Gold 就是為此而生，針對聆聽Hi-Res高規串流玩家所設計。
新款 MA-CAT.8 Gray 線身規格與 MA-CAT.8 Gold 相同，兩者差別僅在於外層的線身顏色，其導材皆採用大線徑 23 AWG，5N OFC 0.6mm 單芯線，表層介電以高密度聚乙烯樹脂（HDPE）作為第一道介質，兩兩線身以精密絞繞機械進行雙絞結構，之後再將雙絞成對的導線覆上單導鋁箔麥拉（ALML）。此外，我們還利用空氣絕緣技術，在線身中加入了＋字型高密度聚乙烯樹脂（HDPE）將兩股成對的四組導線隔開，利用HDPE與空氣，再次強化隔離，同時避免集膚效應與微振的產生。緊接著連續三道的銅金屬屏蔽隔離（銅箔麥拉、OFC銅屏蔽線、5N OFC銅編織網），將徹底阻斷一切可能的干擾，確保核心導線裡的訊號精準穩定地傳輸，最後最外層（鐵灰色）則是用上交連聚乙烯（XLPE），其耐高溫、耐燃、耐化學、耐水、高介電與無毒素等特性，作為線身上的最後一道防護。
而另一個與 MA-CAT.8 Gold 不一樣的小差異，就是線身上配置的小小抑振塊，在 MA-CAT.8 Gold 線身上配的是實木塊，而新款 MA-CAT.8 Gray 則是選用鋁合金抑振塊，其大小差不多、重量增加一點點，整體表現跟 MA-CAT.8 Gold 幾乎一致，若要說兩線之間的差別，我們覺得新款MA-CAT.8 Gray表現較為鮮明，直接，而MA-CAT.8 Gold就略顯溫暖一點，聲音表現其實就如同產品色系一樣，真的很神奇，不過兩線的差距真的很小，若是沒有靜下心來仔細聽，其實是不容易聽得出來。由於Cat.8對於線材有著極高要求的規範，銅導線的純度、線徑的大小、避免線身的相互串擾、EMI的隔離都有相當高的要求，我們超越Cat.8的規範要求，以更嚴苛的技術標準設計線材，追求訊號穩定、無阻、無擾地傳遞，就如同過往MA靜神的各式線材般，大幅超越標準，不用擔心訊號會受到干擾，始終保持著高速穩定的極速傳導，完完整整地將訊號送至解碼器。

Same Core Design, Subtle New Voice

The MA-Cat.8 Gray shares the exact same internal architecture and ultra-high specifications as its Gold sibling. It uses 8 x 23AWG solid-core 5N OFC copper conductors (0.6mm), precision-twisted into four matched-length pairs to reduce jitter and phase error. Each pair is wrapped in AL/Mylar shielding, while a + cross-structured HDPE separator isolates the four pairs with an air dielectric, improving insulation and mitigating skin effect and micro-vibrations.

Three successive shielding layers—copper foil, OFC shielding wire, and 5N OFC braided mesh—create a total of seven shielding barriers, ensuring unmatched EMI/RFI protection. The final outer layer is formed from cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), selected for its durability, thermal resistance, flexibility, and chemical stability.

 

Distinctive Build: Gray Jacket, Aluminum Damping

The main differences from the Gold version lie in its graphite gray outer jacket and aluminum alloy damping block (as opposed to the Gold’s natural wood). While both offer effective vibration suppression, the aluminum block adds slight weight and gives the Gray version a subtly sharper, more articulate sound — a tonal signature that mirrors its refined, cooler aesthetic. The Gold version leans warmer and smoother in character.
