中空導體 × NASA級工藝

Building on the proven success of our single-core hollow in-wall power lines (HU-165 MKIII and HU-220 MKIII), Monitor Acoustics pushes hollow-conductor technology into a new frontier: a purpose-built three-core AC line for high-end audio and professional power installations.
The new SSS-40 MKII is specifically developed for demanding audiophile systems, high-power amplifiers, and premium in-wall wiring where purity and stability matter most.

Each conductor begins with ultra-high-purity 6N LC-OFC copper (2.8 ppm oxygen content). Through multiple annealing cycles and precision refinement, internal metal stress is eliminated, resulting in exceptional conductivity, tonal purity, and long-term stability. This forms the foundation of ultra-low-distortion power delivery.

 

Hollow-Core Conductors × NASA-Inspired Engineering

At the heart of the SSS-40 MKII is a uniquely engineered hollow conductor structure:

  • Eight copper strands form a single core
  • Six S-twisted cores make up each phase (Hot, Neutral, Ground)
  • The center of each conductor remains intentionally hollow

This design is inspired by conductor technologies used in NASA avionics. By leveraging the skin effect, the hollow structure increases the effective conduction surface area while enabling internal air circulation for rapid thermal stabilization.
