The SZZ-26M-5N-A indoor power cable by Monitor Acoustics is purpose-built to supply audio systems with consistent, noise-free, high-current power. Its construction is rooted in engineering precision and audiophile demands — prioritizing conductivity, shielding, and vibration damping at every level.
At its core are three conductors of 5N LC-OFC (Long-Crystal Oxygen-Free Copper), each consisting of seven strands of 0.25mm stress-free wire twisted into a single bundle. These form the live, neutral, and ground paths — color-coded with SR PVC jackets in white, red, and green for easy identification.
Between the conductors, PE rods serve as vibration dampers. A protective insulating paper layer is then wrapped around the assembly, followed by a conductive PVC shield, and an internal 30-strand 0.16mm copper shield drain wire. The outermost shield is a high-density copper foil tape, all enclosed within a durable and aesthetically distinctive gold PVC jacket.
Each conductor offers a cross-sectional area of 2.54mm², enabling strong resistance to voltage drop and high current transfer capability — delivering continuous, robust electrical power for even the most demanding components in your system.
For DIY users building their own power cables with the SZZ-26M-5N-A, the shielding drain wire can be paired with the ground line and connected to the ground pin on the male plug. This enhances grounding performance and minimizes potential interference.
