Introducing the SZZ-55M, Monitor Acoustics’ high-capacity indoor power cable designed for large-scale high-end audio systems. Engineered with 5N OCC single crystal copper conductors and an oversized 5.5mm² core cross-section, this model delivers uncompromising current flow and rock-solid stability.
Each conductor is constructed by twisting together 11 bundles, each composed of seven strands of 0.30mm 5N OCC copper wire—all stress-relieved and precision-aligned to ensure optimal conductivity. The three cores (live, neutral, ground) are individually insulated with color-coded SR PVC jackets in white, red, and green. To reduce resonance and enhance mechanical isolation, PE rods are strategically positioned between the cores, which are then wrapped in insulating paper.
Further shielding is provided by a dual-layered configuration: a layer of conductive PVC combined with a separate 19-strand 0.16mm OFC copper drain wire, and then encased in a thick copper foil shield. This design effectively suppresses RFI/EMI noise, ensuring a pristine power signal. The cable is finished in a dark green pearlescent PVC outer jacket—durable, elegant, and highly resistant to heat, acid, and wear.
