Our high-end MaQ-505-R+ and MaQ-503-R+ AC isolation power cables are built using the MaQ R+Plus process. Each cable features our top-grade 5N OCC (Ohno Continuous Cast) stress-free single crystal copper conductors. By applying a special stress-relief process, we optimize the internal crystalline structure, increasing density and enhancing conductivity. The result is a smooth, fast, and unrestricted electrical path.
The dielectric components — whether in the outer PVC jacket or the nylon/PE materials of the plug connectors — are infused with trace amounts of nano-scale organic ion powder. These micro elements help stabilize the soundstage, increase resolution, and enhance musical energy. To further block out interference, the cable is wrapped in a 0.5µm layer of imported tech-grade copper foil, offering near-perfect EMI and RFI rejection and delivering the cleanest possible current flow.
The ACE-series connectors — custom-designed and built in-house by Monitor Acoustics — are fitted with metal contacts that vary slightly between the 505 and 503 models. Both, however, undergo intensive nano-polishing and receive a rare ruthenium-gold plating, followed by a -196°C cryogenic treatment to relieve internal stress and stabilize the metal's structure. The cable also includes a non-magnetic, olive-shaped alloy damper designed to suppress micro-vibrations along the cable body. Its position can be adjusted to fine-tune the system’s sonic sweet spot.
We thoroughly tested the MaQ-505-R+, MaQ-503-R+, and MaQ-703-R+ in our own high-end listening lab, evaluating their sonic signatures and system synergy. Our recommendation:
- Use the MaQ-503-R+ with clock generators, LP/CD transports, or digital sources.
